Alan Wilde is on secondment to the ILO. He is a business practitioner with wide practical experience and an in-depth knowledge of the European law which is providing the model for many changes proposed by Labour in the Employment Relations Law Reform Bill. Business NZ identified these changes as major concerns in the proposed legislation, potentially affecting the asset re-sale value and operational flexibility of all NZ enterprises.
Alan is a managing partner of a specialist consulting firm working for companies and employers' organisation on strategic human resource and employuee relations issues. He is an international expert on the European Acquired Rights Directive and the UK Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations (TUPE).
Based on his experience and insights he has been asked to undertake a series of seminars in NZ. These will focus on issues related to the restructuring proposals in the NZ bill. His topic is "If Europe is the Trend Setter in Employment Relations - Where to New Zealand? "
